Both speakers get their own removable battery pack — take the whole setup to the beach without needing to run power from the cart, boat, or vehicle at all. Unlike the TB8 configuration, which pairs one amplified speaker with one passive unit, the TBB8 gives you two fully independent, battery-powered, Bluetooth-amplified towers — meaning either speaker can run entirely on its own if you ever want to split the pair between two locations.
The ExtremeTower Series by SoundExtreme is a family of performance tower speakers designed for those who want a full, mid-bass sound and clean, detailed highs in a compact form factor, avoiding the thin output that many smaller marine or powersports speakers settle for. These 8-inch tower speakers include integrated lithium-ion battery packs in both units, keeping the party going when your boat, cart, or vehicle is turned off entirely — there's no dependency on the vehicle's electrical system staying active for either speaker to keep playing.
When the engine is running, the vehicle can optionally charge both speaker battery packs simultaneously; when it's off, each speaker keeps playing independently via its own built-in battery reserve, giving genuine flexibility in how and where you use them. SoundExtreme Tower speakers include rotatable, no-tool quick-release mounts, so you can take these speakers with you and keep the party going on the beach, at a campsite, or anywhere else entirely disconnected from the original vehicle. Battery packs are removable on both units and include AC power chargers, meaning you can charge them at home without hauling the full speaker assemblies indoors — just the battery packs themselves, making this the most genuinely portable option in the entire ExtremeTower lineup.
